Getting Props on ESPN

Everyone on the show seemed to agree the Marlins were for real. But they said that the Marlins would likely win division by default because everyone else in the NL East has proven not to be reliable.

You know what is funny. The New York media is still in denial. I was at home for lunch today and I happened to come across the Mike and the MadDog show on YES. They were talking about the Mets and the NL East. They not only discounted the Marlins completely from contention but said that the MEts still should only be worried about Atlanta and Philly. They did mention the DBacks getting swept by the Fish but used that to discredit the Dbacks by saying that thier hitting is worse that hey thought and right now the NL is wide open. Those guys really really hate the Marlins.

Mike and the MadDog suck. They're a bunch of sellouts. Let's see what those chumps have to say at the end of the season. I hope we beat the hell out of MadDog's Giants this weekend

The East is the best division in the NL.

Tim Kirkjian was just saying this morning the Marlins have "no right" to be where they are and something about it being fraudulent or a fraud or something akin to that.

Tim Kirkjian is an idiot. If you win baseball games, I think you have a right to be in first place.

Its funny how mad everyone is at the Marlins for winning but talked good about them and their young talent when they are losing.

He's another idiot. Give these chumps a couple of more weeks and they'll start jumping on the band wagon. If it ain't The Mets, Yankees, or Boston, it ain't news to them

I've heard Buster Olney give us a good amount of credit.

Didn't he say a week or two ago that we are the real deal and will be in the race come September?

Tim Kirkjian was also the one in 2003 who said up until the end that the Marlins would not win the Wild Card. The guy is a tool with a capital T.

Last night I was watching Sportscenter and although they had a decent amount of highlights and talked about how well Miller pitched, they had to follow it with: "The Marlins, are winning but fans still aren't showing up. Only 13,000 showed up last night which means the stadium was 60% empty." Bunch of douche bags.

People in Chicago say the same thing about the Marlins. I think they are just bitter from 2003 :)

People hate us cause we're heartbreakers.

People only love ya if you've got a notable star or two. Sadly, when you're perceived as a bunch of nobodies, lots of critics take that and run with it.

Right now the only team the Mutts should be worrying about is the Nationals... they're probably closer to them at this point :lol

If he actually used the words "no right" with any semblance of credbility or assuredness... I will find Kurkjian and punch him in the face...

Peter Gammons.... (But he likes claiming the "weaker" teams can surprise all the time)

I think it was "no business"

Man, last night Kirkjian was giving us, and more so Miller, some love. How things change in 12 hours.

He still said, in that segment, that we had 'no business' being where we were. The only guy that gave us unconditional love was Orestes.

Gotta love "The Big O."

Because Hanley Ramirez isn't a notable star.

I don't think Kurkjian saying we had "no business" being there was meant as a slam....I saw him on BBTN last night, and really, he was very complimentary. When he said that, he meant that no one could've seen this coming and no one was expecting it, and looking at our roster, it's hard to believe we're there.
