All Marlins to report tommorow

Featured Replies

I just wanted to know if anyone knows what time tommorow it would be ideal to get some autographs and watch some practice???

Ready for workouts: Monday marks the first day of workouts for pitchers and catchers on the back fields at Roger Dean Stadium. The players will begin warming up about 10 a.m. ET, and practices are open to the public.

Tuesday is report day for the position players, and after undergoing their physicals on Wednesday, the first full-squad workout is Thursday. Until Spring Training games begin on March 1, workouts will be at 10 a.m.

With so many pitchers needing to be looked at, there are chances for more intrasquad and "B" games throughout Spring Training.

The Marlins have 58 players in big-league camp.

"Monday is going to be the first true special day, because it's when camp starts," Girardi said. "It's wonderful being named the manager of the Florida Marlins. Once Monday starts, it's all for real. That's going to be a special day, and Opening Day is going to be a huge day for me."

Wish I could make it..

If anybody takes some pictures, please share them with the board.

I am craving some baseball news/pictures (and some baseball weather).

Thanks.

I just got back from hanging out on the fields with my daughter (Little SoFlaFish). I'll upload my pictures as soon as their posted.

Got to joke around with Mike Harkey. I talked to him as he signed an autograph for my daughter. I asked him if it made him feel old if I told him that I remembered him as the "phenom prospect" for the Cubs back in the late 80s. He answered back, "Dude, you're making us both feel old!" We had a good laugh as we talked and walked from one practice field to the other.

Checked out the pitchers when Josh Johnson was throwing. Didn't see Willis anywhere (he could've been there earlier when my daughter and I were over at the Cardinals side where Pujols, Rolen, Edmonds, and Spivey were taking BP!). We did see the catchers drills with Willingham, Olivo, and Treanor.

Pictures coming soon. I'm probably going back on Saturday with both my kids.

Awesome man, be sure to post the pics... How did Willy look behind the plate?

In the paper it says the Marlins are on the practice field at 9:30am MOST days. Is there a certain day they dont practice? I really dont want to drive all the way up to Jupiter and find out that they are off that day. kwim?
