This goes up there with some of the worst trades the Marlins have ever made.

To people on a message board. Yet they have an incredibly small payroll and are a game over .500 in june so they must know something. This front office has signed Carlos Marmol, Henry Rodriguez, and Kevin Gregg.... I'm sorry but there is a reason that these guys are free agents (because 29 other front offices know they are pitiful).

god marlins fans are obnoxious. Why is it a joke? he isn't a huge prospect where we are worried about service time right now he was just the best choice for a week rather than the awful skipworth or Brantly. I understand the marlins front office doesnt exactly endear themselves to fans trust but stop acting like they are completely incompetent and have no idea what they are doing and act like you could do a significantly better job or know more than them. After pretty much every move this front office makes....their competence comes more into question.

I think some of these mock drafts are reflecting the perceived notion that the Marlins may be a little hesitant to invest so much in another young arm (considering the heightened injury risks).

.500 was always the goal IMO for this season....and that was with Jose.

If the front office thinks the Marlins can compete this year then they should be fired for substance abuse.

Dont forget that Hanley only played in 86 games in 2013....theres no telling what his numbers would have been if he had played more than HALF the season.

Wild Card, those teams didnt have the...issues the Marlins have. i.e.: A starting rotation made up of one guy followed by a bunch of 4th and 5th starters. A fairly weak bullpen outside of a couple of arms. Guys starting at C and 1B who should be platoon players at best. Two of the worst hitters in baseball starting at 2B and SS(since Solano has somehow weaseled his way back into the lineup) A bench player whos an awful hitter starting at 3B. McGehee and Hechavarria have both fallen rapidly back to earth after their unsustainable first 5 games. Garrett Jones is terrible. Saltalamacchia is an empty uniform against LHP. Hechavarria and Solano are black holes in the lineup. This team is deeply flawed and anyone who was expecting them to be good, or even decent, has no grasp of reality. I doubt anyone with a Miley Cyrus avatar could provide credible insight...
