I thought he was safe too. There are going to be a lot of plays just like that (bang bang) all season long. That is part of the reason I believe this replay system is flawed....most of these plays are so close even the replay is inconclusive

It goes to show you how shortsighted (may I say idiotic) the Blue Jays were last offseason...they traded a slew of their top 10 prospects to the Marlins....then they trade their top 2 prospects (D'Arnaud and Syndergaard) for RA Dickey.

I believe Furcal will bat 1st If you look at his career....Furcal has led off about 90% of the games he has started.

This Jones thing kinda makes trading Morrison a bit like trading Escobar last year, almost a necessity, which makes teams clearly downgrade our return even worse. Something just doesn't feel right about this move and the timing of it. I wouldn't say it was a necessity to trade Escobar last year, we could have slotted him or Hech at second with the other playing short. Same thing with here, not a necessity to trade him if they decide to platoon in left with Ruggiano. We'll see what happens. How about this idea. At least to start the season...keep Lomo at 1st....platoon Jones/Ruggiano in Left....Yelich can handle CF. If you can get an actual respectable return for LoMo then ok, but don't just give up on him because of arbitration. At the least, keep him if only with the hope that he could build up his value over the next year
