  1. I'm waiting on some or one of these young grasshoppers from the '14 draft to start to flash.
  2. The Dolphins organization gets a bad rap. I like the owner, he's made a few mistakes but spends willfully and doesn't micro manage his football execs. That's all you want.
  3. I get the frustration 100%. This organization is behind and it makes being an informed fan less fun. It's an ownership issue all the way down to the likeminded managers they look for.
  4. This. This organization isn't going to get a forward thinking manager. They will go with someone like-minded. So let's not think they will hire a manager with any analytical edge who does anything other than think conventionally.
  5. For such a barren system J.T is such a welcome glimpse of talent. Over/Under how many more games the org runs out Salt?
  6. If you aren't blocked by that pretty face you can't call yourself a Marlins fan.

I've been following middle infield options since last season with the realization than Hech will never be good. Bohn is supposedly a decent defender, but he's not much of a prospect overall. Utility is the projection. He hit his ass of last season and we can only hope he progresses a little more. So even as he projects as a backup ML player, Hech is barely a ML player, so could he be an upgrade over him in '16? Sure. This organization is blind for Hech though.
  8. This thread makes me a little embarrassed to be a "fan," but yea, historically this bad a start doesn't work out. I'll hold out hope for now.
  9. I haven't been big on this staff for awhile. It's gonna be mediocre. Thankfully Henderson is legit good. The rest seems like it's just depth arms. The offense will do better though.
  10. As usual, Mike Hill and his evaluations based on prehistoric ocular testing is to blame. Salt should have a platoon complement. Solano should not be starting more than eight times in a season. Hech.
  11. I'm not gonna shit on Red for this. It's the organizations fault. You don't have a platoon option for an onvious platoon catcher. Instead you have Mathis, who couldn't hit .300 in Single A. They are who they are. Nothing has changed in terms of evaluation. The sooner Hech and Salt play their way out of jobs the sooner the team will be better for it, unfortunately, but Salty would be fine as a platoon catcher. I would blame Red but he's stuck.
  12. Unfortunately I'm one of the weirdos in the Dee cult. I believe in things like "he changes the dynamic of our lineup" and stuff. Can you at least acknowledge that he doesn't shit roses and there are legit concerns about his contact rates and ability to get on base enough for a first hitter? We can acknowledge that and still be hopeful that he improves and it works out. But as of now his track record suggests that it's tough to envision him getting on base enough to 'change he lineup' He's not perfect. With that said he absolutely changes the dynamic of our entire lineup and he only does that from the top. He has the kind of speed that changes the way people play the game when he's on base, and I'm confident he will get on base enough to force those changes and benefit the hitters behind him. What do you predict his batting line will be this season? Avg/OBP
  13. You are dead right about that. Listening to Hill speak is Beinfest all over again. Jennings on the other hand I just really like. Loria is finally spending the money properly but the fact that he seems to have more confidence in Hill and Jennings than he ever had in Beinfest speaks volumes. The 2012 stuff had to happen although if they would have kept Reyes it would have been interesting, but that contract would soon inflate. They're the same guy. Hill as his assitant GM. They are the same guy with the scouting background who wants to ignore analytics.
