Hanley, Choate to LA for Eovaldi, McGough
I'll remember Hanley as an elite SS that dropped off the past couple years. I frigging love Hanley. He's not a cancer. That pisses me off. Dookholes in the clubhouse that say they are glad Hanley is gone are the real cancers. Are you being serious about the last part Yoko? Yes. They maybe aren't cancers, but that pisses me off more than anything else Hanley has done during his tenure with the Marlins. Say it to his face. At least LoMo had the balls to confront him last year. I'm just very frustrated with this team right now. Im just glad I'm just as big of a Heat fan. The Marlins have just been stuck in a cycle of embarassment and incompetence since they've last made the playoffs. MIKE MILLER.....BANG!!!!! GO HEAT!!!!

I hope Hanley never gets a hit again in his major league career. He dug his own grave in Miami. Such an unfortunate end for the Marlins, hopefully its unfortunate for Hanley too.

Can we still turn this AROUND?
Until Yelich and Fernandez are ready... this team doesn't seem to have enough talent to even compete in the division much less the NL.

Josh Johnson: Baseball's best pitcher
Gents, something is seriously wrong with JJ. I wish there wasn't and hope I'm wrong. But that's a different pitcher out there and right now the pitcher I have the least confidence in on our staff. I really hope it's just him stretching out, but I fear the worst... Lol that's moronic to have less faith in JJ than Nolasco and Zambrano.

4/8 post game

4/8 post game
Look, am trying to be optimistic, but does anyone here seriously think this team can win 2 out of 3 against the Phillies? We could be 2-5 by the time the team makes it back to south Florida.. We could also be 1-6 after the Phils. Or 4-3. Or 3-4. Big deal. Either way we are screwed.

4/8 post game
The sad thing is the Marlins have started the season 11-1 and missed the playoffs. 1-3 sounds awful.

4/8 post game
I guess Bell needs to be working on his craft more than bartending in the clevelander

4/8 post game
For the guy that feels like today is now wasted.....There are many similar days in your near future if you keep watching baseball.

4/8 post game
Jeez Bell couldn't get a strikeout to save his life today. If he's not piling up Ks.....were screwed.

4/8 post game
82-80 isn't bad We don't have the consistency at any part of the game to do any better.

4/8 post game
This team still has the same patented Marlins tendency to constantly beat themselves.

Petersen sent down, Rowand released
I don't see how Kearns would ever get time at 1st this season. Isn't Dobbs our backup there?

Petersen sent down, Rowand released
Both Coghlan and Kearns have earned roles as reserve outfielders to begin the season. My question is which one of them is on a shorter leash?

Keeping up with ex-Marlins
Not that it means he isn't gay, but Pavano did date Alyssa Milano for a bit.

HR sculpture to be removed?
I attended the game tonight. The stadium is a freaking gem.... The HR sculpture really enhances the ballpark, especially the space beyond the outfield. Possibly my favorite aspect of Marlins Park is the fact you can lap the entire concourse while always having a decent view of the field and players. HUGE UPGRADE..... really reminded me of Dodger Stadium in that regard. On a side note, I must have attended over a hundred Marlins games at the old stadium, but tonight caught my first Major League foul ball sitting in Section 23 of the new stadium.

Marlins interested in Jorge Soler
http://mlbbuzz.yardbarker.com/blog/mlbbuzz/here_comes_soler/9939016?new_post=true "Scouts say that Soler, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound right-handed hitter, possesses power comparable to that of a player with a similar build, Marlins right fielder Mike Stanton. Soler does not run as well as Stanton, however, and ultimately could end up at first base."
