March 12, 201214 yr Alejandro Da Aza is ranked above Grady Sizemore, Austin Jackson, Gaby Sanchez, Vernan Wells, Mike Trout, and many onther in Yahoo!'s fantasy rankings. whoa.
March 12, 201214 yr Grady Sizemore's injured. Austin Jackson sucks. Gaby Sanchez is an average 1B. Vernon Wells sucks. Mike Trout might begin the year in the minors; even if he doesn't, it's questionable he succeeds at such a young age in the big leagues. I don't see the big deal.

March 13, 201214 yr I loved the Alejandro De Aza era. He was like Bonifacio before Bonifacio. Except Bonifacio got good.
March 13, 201214 yr Author he's actually ahead of Bonifacio according to Yahoo! the list of players I whipped out was abitrary. dude's either gotten good or is, at the very least, getting mad recognition being a starter for Chicago
March 13, 201214 yr He put up a .920 OPS over 171 PA. They probably just didn't compensate properly for small sampling size.
March 14, 201214 yr Author Jorge Cantu's with the Angels now, apparently, who played against the DBacks last night. watching the replay and saw him get a hit. good to know he's still doing aight. doubt he'll make it to the opening day roster, though.

March 16, 201214 yr He's been doing very well offensively in AAA for the past 3 seasons now (ages 25-27) and he's good defensively and the base paths. He's nooooowhere near as good as that 171 sample size but he did at least show the power he's been showing in the minors past few years. If he puts up a mid-high 700 OPS with defense/running, guy is good starter. I was sad we got rid of him to keep Jai Miller instead, but far from any big deal
March 19, 201214 yr Gaby is not a Ex-Marlin, yet. So what the hell? See Kotsay signed with the SD Pads....Kotsay has a illegal CANNON for a arm...then injuries and aging happened...

You hate the hell out of some Gaby Sanchez, don't you? As far as cantu, not that he ever blew anybody away but he just seemed to disappear after we traded him
March 19, 201214 yr Speaking of former Marlins, I don't think anyone brought up Dontr-- wait, nvm. lol

I was happy to find out earlier this spring that LoMo is still taking reps over there to stay fresh. Coghlan could force that issue as well with a strong start to the year. The way things are looking, one of LoMo or Stanton will be out a little bit with a knee issue and he looks like the guy who will get that playing time. If Coghlan can show he is healthy and hitting, I'll take Cogs>Sanchez all day.
March 19, 201214 yr Why? Gaby is a better hitter, and Coghlan is awful in left. Logan is supposed to be good at 1B, but Gaby was above-average last year, anyway. Normalize Coghlan's BABIP and his rookie year wasn't better than what Sanchez has done 2 years straight.

Normalize Coghlan's BABIP and his rookie year wasn't better than what Sanchez has done 2 years straight. Coghlan may not have been better than Sanchez, but he is younger, left-handed, and allows us to get LoMo over to first. If performance is equal, the choice is easy.

March 19, 201214 yr Author from that pic, it looks like the only damage was caused by the sunglasses which is great. he got hit sooooo f***ing had and hardly looked phased, haha
