February 27, 200620 yr Why did the news that RB Ricky Williams had reportedly failed a drug test emanate from Denver? We hear it?s because the Broncos had requested information on Williams? status in the NFL?s substance-abuse program from the league as a prelude to a trade with the Dolphins. Word is Williams? appeal will be upheld since the substance he tested positive for was an herb, not a drug. However, the Dolphins are ticked off since the suspension scare likely lowers Williams? trade value. http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/The+W...hispers2101.htm Saw this on finsheaven and figured you all would like. Interesting if it holds to be true it looks like Ricky will be a fin this year after all and this could be how the "leak happend" I wonder what would happen to Denver if it is so.

Yah I saw this on finheaven awell! Its good news if true. I posted a tad about it in the Saban supports Ricky thread. Even if it gets upheld his value still took a major blow due to the leak.
February 27, 200620 yr Author we dont have to trade him though. Personally in the style of offense that we have with Mularky as the OC, I would love to see the R&R railroad run. you know what I mean? A two headed monster where we pound people till they crumble. Both are power running backs that can drill people into the ground (more ronnie but ricky can be very tough). maybe I am insane, but I am actually sorta on a keeping ricky thing Either way how saban has supported his player has been classy.

Oh no doubt man I'm right with you on the R&R Express. I would have liked to see Saban package Ricky up to move up in the draft. Def do not mind him being around next year. Best running back tandem in the league. Especially when he costs less then a pack of Chewlies gum.
