Veteran centre Chris Gratton took his name off the trade block Thursday when he agreed to a $3-million (all figures U.S.), two-year contract extension with the Florida Panthers. The 30-year-old Gratton, who is earning $900,000 this season, was slated for unrestricted free agency July 1 and the Panthers were getting several calls from other teams looking to acquire him.
