Bump Accepts Assignment

Olsen to Greensboro

Pitcher Nate Bump accepted his assignment to Albuquerque and

joined the Isotopes in Des Moines.

Pitcher Scott Olsen was transferred from the Isotopes to Class-A

Greensboro to free up a roster spot for Bump. Olsen should be

transferred back to Albuquerque in the next few days to make a

start for the Isotopes before being recalled by the Marlins around

mid-April.

thats cool, looks like Bump still wants to be a Marlin

Yeah, sounds like he had a lot of other options.

:whistle

No, he just didn't want to be out of a job, since we're the only team that for some reason wants him.

still can't believe olsen didn't make the team......he looked good

He did make hte team. He's being called up in about a week...The Marlin's just wanted to give him starts in AAA while they used a 4-man rotation due to early days off.

Bump took the loss in tonight's 4-1 defeat vs. Iowa. Looks like he had a good night -

5.0 innings - 2R (1 ER); 8 hits; 3 K's - 0 BB's

:plain

That 1.80 ERA and Infinite K/BB ratio is terrible, let me tell you.
