Hanleylicious
nice letter. I've gained a lot of respect for you now that you bash LeBetard
miami15
Yeah I put that together in 5 minutes last Saturday night, to get it in the 9-7 paper, but they put it in today. They took out my best part making fun of LeBatard for criticizing the Marlins for getting Pudge instead of Millar! It was cool!
CapeFish
Since I don't get the Herald out here in Fort Myers and wasn't able to visit the local library to see the paper, could someone post the link or letter?
miami15
Here was my first draft: I am sick of Dan Le Batard's constant negativity towards the Florida Marlins. For several years now Le Batard has blasted the Florida Marlins' owners, coaches, players, and most recently: fans. Le Batard and his hypocritical sidekicks, have wrote in this once great newspaper, about the dishonesty of the team's owners, and pleading for South Florida residents to stay home. Remember when Le Batard was upset the Marlins did not resign his favorite player, Kevin Millar, and instead opting to sign future Hall of Famer, Pudge Rodriguez? He was upset that the team, who he has called "cheap" on numerous occasions, did not sign Millar, and his 57 RBI. I have not heard much from Le Batard since Pudge started hitting and leading the Marlins into the front of the Wild Card race. Remember when Le Batard was sure that the Marlins' front office was going to trade Mike Lowell, but instead aquired Ugueth Urbina, and Jeff Conine, for minor leaguers that are years from cracking a Major League team's starting lineup? Now that the Florida's coaches, front office, and players have started pushing towards the playoffs, Le Batard has ran out of reasons to put down the Marlins. Now he is putting down their fans! Le Batard does not know what fans have to go through to attend these games. He is busy having tea parties with Michael Wilbon on ESPN. If he ever attended a game, chances are he would get in for free, and enjoy an air conditioned skybox with quality food. We have to treck through interstate traffic, under threatening skies, and purchase lousy food, at astronomical rates. Who would go to a game on a Thursday afternoon, in a working class city, against Pittsburgh, when it has rained all week? More than ten thousand people bought tickets for this game, and the Marlins should feel lucky to have that turnout. Maybe if Le Batard and his peers stopped ripping the Marlins and actually complementing them on a job well done, more fans would go to games and start buying the Sun Sentinel. We are worthy Le Retard; you're not! And here is what was in the newspaper: I am sick of Le Batard's constant negativity towards the Florida Marlins. CapeFish
In a new ballpark, would the Miami Herald put an ad like the AZ republic or Baltimore Sun did in their local ballparks? Or will they continue to hate?
miami15
They'll continue to hate us, but we'll still get a Miami Herald ad in the new park somewhere. But, I think we will be staying in PPS if we can't win thw Wild Card!
