Marlins97+03WC
Nic Ungs pitched a four-hit shutout Monday for Triple-A Albuquerque. The 26-year-old Ungs has little chance of being a long-term member of the Florida rotation, but he'd be a better stopgap that Brian Moehler right now and he could fit in as a middle reliever down the line. He's 5-2 with a 2.59 ERA in eight starts for Albuquerque. May. 16 - 4:51 pm et Why haven't we ever given him a chance. Didn't he pitch a no hitter last year? I'd like to see him replace Herges or Messenger.

If not, I'm pretty damn sure he's close to being Rule V eligible. I figure they'd add him before Ungs. Let me go check some stats and I'll finish that thought. Hmm...Am I right to assume that he was signed before turning 17? If so, then I guess Gaby has some time... But speaking of the 40-man, I was taking a look and noticed the name 'Scott Tyler'. I almsot completely forgot about him. How the hell is he doing, and where is he at?

Lefty
I've always liked Ungs, and he's getting too old to let him sit there and rot. Might as well bring him up if we can make some sensible moves to make space.
