The 19-year-old right-hander struck out 12 and walked just one over his two starts. He now has 42 strikeouts in 45 1/3 innings pitched on the season.
May 19, 200620 yr Yep and he'll probably get lit up from time to time for a while yet. As a 19 year old pitching in advanced A ball he is still way ahead of the curve though.

He'll be 20 soon though, right? But ya, I have high hopes for him. You figure by 2008 our young studs (Volstad, Gaby, West) will be fighting for a spot in the rotation.
