Posted June 10, 200618 yr I caught the end where he was saying how building a stadium in Hialeah would benefit all 3 counties, etc. They were showing renderings of the stadium and mentioned the gap in funding. Did anyone see the whole thing?
June 11, 200618 yr I doubt that the Feds are going to help us fund the stadium. However, Robania may be trying to get federal help for the infrastructure required for the area. If this is the case, then more of the funds the county has pledged toward the project and the money the city of Hialeah is planning to contribute may actually be used to build the stadium. And in this way the gap can be reduced further. Who knows! Robaina may have other, non-baseball-related projects that may qualify for Federal help. If money is saved, the city may be able to help more toward the funding. We just have to wait and see. But this wait is KILLING ME!!!!!!!!
