NFL Head Coach Reviews

Featured Replies

Just got my free copy from EA and it's certainly different....Very complicated with lots to do but certainly enjoyable......I havent gotten too far into it though.....anyone else play it yet????

To anybody that is thinking about getting this DONT. Go buy Front Office Football if you want a football management sim. THis game is horrible.

We had the creator of the game on my radio show and i managed to coax them into giving us 3 copies to give away and we gave 2 away and I kept the X-Box one.

I think the game has some glitches. It kept locking up on my brother when he was trying to run a practice.

As a football coach I think I'd find it interesting to play, but I don't know if I can trust EA to have good plays and defensive line alignment. A counter doesn't work in EA's football games, neither do WR screens, and the DL in NCAA's series has no alignment (ends play a 5 and DT's play a 2, and if you slide, the ends are in a 7 and the DL will play a 4 and a 1, which gets you eaten alive on iso and power), where as madden is better, but the playbooks in both defensively are kind of limiting. For instance, in the 4-3 in madden, I always want to run base cover 2 to start the game/half, and the DT's always twist... which vs a run is horrible. so its unusable on 1st and 10, 2nd and 5 and less, and 3rd and short. If video games want to make fans that have knowledge happy, they need to let you create a playbook, but not the way either of these do it. You should be able to pick 4-3, then pick man, zone, etc, and what line twists you want and blitz stunts, etc. I find in madden when I create a play, they dont do what I want because the options are so limited. If I did a football sim, Id have to have more control over the plays, and more plays would have to work. Toss doesnt even work. If someone could tell me more details from a football stand point, I'd be happy, most game reviews are from a gamer standpoint.
