Paul LoDuca on the Marlins situation, and Dan Lebatard!

Featured Replies

So i've been seeing LoDuca doing the rounds in the past few days and there was some entertaining stuff.

A few points of intrest, and him and Lebatard messing around on PTI..

On Rome they asked him about getting traded from the Marlins, and he gave the stadium situation some air time, saything that it is urgent that it get done, and that it is the reason that they had to go. If we had the ballpark, he would still be there.

On PTI, Le Batard asked if there was a worse nickname than "Dookie" in the world of Sports, and Duca responded... The rat, the horrible thing that dwells in the tunnels of Shay, Dan Lebatard, the Rat. I thought that was funny, thought i'd let you know, :)

LoDuca, like almost every Marlin traded in the off-season, praises Loria and blames the stadium negotiations melt-down as the reason for what happened. LoDuca does it virtually every time he's asked.

what's wrong with that? it's true. loria isn't just going to continue losing money, he's offering to throw in much more money than most did. and he was losing money, this is a buisness, and he's doing the best thing for the state of the team and his wallet.

What would lead you to believe I was unhappy with what LoDuca said or I found fault with it?

It is true. And I was pleased he reiterated it.

He seems like a great guy and all but I am really beginning to think he's an overrated player.

agreed on both counts

hes one of those guys that puts up pretty good stats but is overrated/overpaid because of his 'intangibles'

Just now? I thought he was a "Captain Intangibles" a la Juan Pierre the minute he got here. He was the same way in LA. Started hot, faded down the stretch, fan favorite. His defense wasn't good either. Never liked the guy a whole lot. He was better than Redmond, but that goes without saying.

o, it just sounded like you were disagreeing with the marlins that were traded and didn't like loria being praised.
