July 31, 200619 yr And that is with McCann being 'hot' recently. Has hit a few out in the last couple of weeks. Shows what a step up high-A ball is, and what a hitters league the Sally league really is.
August 1, 200619 yr Well, let's not forget that the FSL is at least as kind to pitchers as Sally is to hitters. Doesn't excuse the weak hitting by some of our "prospects" that have been there all year, but I hope no one is freaking out over a handful of ABs by Gaby, coming off an injury and playing in a new, much tougher environment.

Totally agree, Retsko and McCann have been quite frankly terrible this year, Retsko is two full years younger and can afford to repeat, but McCann really needs to step it up and now, he will be 24 at the start of next season.
August 4, 200619 yr Retsko, McCann and Davis were among the hits last night, Retsko and McCann seem to be playing a little better in the last week or so (it would be hard to play worse). Gaby went 0 for 4 last night, looking forward to him getting back into the swing of things since the injury.
