Froemming will be working his eighth Division Series. The rest of his crew includes Hunter Wendelstedt, Dale Scott, Gary Cederstrom, Jeff Kellogg and Phil Cuzzi.

The other crew, headed by 20-year veteran John Hirschbeck, has been assigned to work Games 1, 2 and 5 of the NLDS involving the Giants and Marlins and Games 3 and 4 of the NLDS between the Braves and Cubs.

Bill Miller, Brian Gorman, Admin Young, Ed Rapuano and Mark Wegner are also on Hirschbeck's crew.

Twenty-eight-year veteran umpire Ed Montague will lead the crew that will work Games 1, 2 and 5 of the American League Division Series involving the Minnesota Twins and New York Yankees and Games 3 and 4 of the ALDS between the Boston Red Sox and Oakland Athletics.

Ted Barrett, Paul Emmel, Gerry Davis, Jim Joyce and Bill Welke are the other members of Montague's squad

Hey, if they really didn't want us to win, they'd assign us Jim Wolf!! *ducks and covers*

Doesn't make sense...

I can understand why some felt Wolf shouldn't ump our games during the season (I agreed even though I think he was fair) -- but why would he do anything against us in the playoffs? He can't help his brother out anymore anyway even if he wanted to.

It was just a jab about how no one wanted him to ump our games during the season. See, this is why I don't make jokes often.
