From SI.com, Tom Verducci:

"Giants vs. Marlins: The AARP special, with Felipe Alou and Jack McKeon -- both managing in their first postseason -- winning one for the old folks. Florida has confounded people all year (signing Pudge Rodriguez, hiring Trader Jack, dealing for Ugueth Urbina), but winning this series would top them all. The presence of Bonds, not to mention his frequent rockets, strains a team's resources and mental energy. Florida just doesn't have enough arms to keep the Giants down. SAN FRANCISCO IN 4."

I honestly like Schmit starting on 3 days rest, coming off a complete game, than I would Williams with plenty of rest. We JUST saw him, and now they're going to see a less sharp Jason. Let's hope they can take advantage of the pitches they missed the first time 'round, and let's hope Schmit doesn't get the same strikes that he got in game 1 (he really exploited the strike zone).

dont think Schmidt will go out without a battle, this game will be another nail biter...

If we can jump on him early, we can put a wrecking ball through them.

If the first three hitters have some success in the 1st today, watch for a win.

Im watching for the win no matter what, im just not about to write off the guy that truly shut the fish down in game 1...

Dontrizzle is the key to this game/series, if he can roll not only will they win but they might get a tiny bit of RESPECT ( not from BBTN )

Dontrelle is really the one pitcher I trust most facing lefties, too, so Bonds may be shut-down even more than he has been in this series.

if you dont know, im a huge Barry fan NOT a giants fan. i am absolutely amazed with what the pitchers for the Fish have done to him. it almost seems like when we pitch to him he doesnt expect it, the intentional walks are getting to him. I believe the different styles of our pitchers also makes a huge difference, Beckett with his curve Redman with his change Dontrizzle with his deseptive pitching. this is incredible Nuff Said.

Trelle has so many things working for him in this matchup, now only if we could get Alfonzo out...

A good performance from Dontrelle is a necessity to win this baseball game.

A good performance out of everyone is a necessity to win. The offense cannot produce 4 or 5 hits and expect to win.

who is going to be working the plate? i havent been paying attention to the umps...
