October 17, 200620 yr So i started at IBM yesterday and am in my second day of orientation. Just got my new comp!!! maybe i should get back to class.....
October 17, 200620 yr Author ehhh, unfortunatley i dont know much about comps so i dont really know what to tell ya. It's an IBM ThinkPad. It has Intel ( R ) Pentium ( R )M Processor 1.60 GHz, 1.00 GB of RAM I have no Idea what any of that means or if its good. anyone want to help me out?
October 17, 200620 yr We use Thinkpads at my job too... I have a T60. It's not bad... It's got a dual core processor, but I think my company bought the bare minimum, cause it only came with a 40gb hard drive and 256mb of memory... Good thing I saved my 100gb from my old T30, but I couldn't swap the drives... The T60's come with SATA drivers, so I'm stuck with my 40gb until I can upgrade early next year...

October 18, 200620 yr Do NOT buy a MacBook. There is a class action lawsuit pending against Apple because of faulty MacBooks. The laptops shut down inexplicably, with no warning. Mine has been doing it for two months.
