"As a small two, he's quick as hell," coach Pat Riley said, "and the fact that he can really stretch the court, he's like Eddie House." While House never quite carved out measured minutes in his three seasons under Riley, just making it to opening night would say plenty about Hite's training camp, considering he went undrafted.
October 23, 200619 yr Hmmm, I don't know. He's actually a decent fit for the team...a decent 3 pt. threat and a good defender. I don't think he brings much else, but maybe we don't need much else. And he was definitely a better player than Diaz last year. I guess this could work, although I never would have predicted it.

October 24, 200619 yr Hite does provide energy and instant offense. He hits the three pointer. Is he this year's Udonis Haslem? Riley keeps on coming up with these guys from under his sleeve , doesn't he?
October 24, 200619 yr If he can make a positive contribution to the team Im all for having on the squad. His pre-season numbers have been flat out great. A hometown guy like Haslem hopefully this works out for him and the Heat. Yep, I agree that Hite is a better player than Diaz. Diaz is just the superior athlete and was always overhyped a bit.... Says the guy who proclaims Carlos Arroyo as one of the greatest.
