Exactly my point. Its all speculation at this point and its foolhardy to say he'll be out two months.

It's more foolish to expect him back sooner.

I'm not expecting him back soon. But I am hoping.

That's all any of us can do. Meanwhile, we dominated Toronto tonight without Todd.

Dominate isn't the word I'd use, but it was a good win to get.

We destroyed them on both sides of the puck. How is dominate not the word?

For the first two periods maybe, but they were lucky to hang on in the third period.

Having a 3 goal lead in the third, at home, and hanging on to win 4-2 on an empty netter is not dominating.

Two periods is the majority of a game. The Leafs were dominated. Belfour being Belfour allowed the Leafs to hang on.

Luongo being Luongo let teams back in it last November, now it's Belfour being Belfour? Ever think it's maybe just the Panthers being the Panthers? Good hockey teams play 60 minutes.

Belfour is not a good goalie anymore. Any team can play good around a mediocre goalie and make him look spectacular. Belfour is done. His career is over.

Umm...ok?

Still has nothing to do with my point, and for the record, I'd rather see Belfour in goal over Auld right now.

Auld hasn't lived up to his potential. A couple of years down the road, he'll be a great starter but right now he is still backup material.

Still has nothing to do with my original point that the Panthers don't play for 60 minutes, and that's not the sign of a good team.

That point is irrelevant to what I was talking about. I hate when people try to argue hockey with me.

I'll ask permission next time, chief.

You were arguing a totally irrelevant point. Dominating two periods of hockey (which you admitted the Panthers did last night) can be categorized as dominating a game. Belfour allowed two very cheap goals that allowed the Leafs to hang around. The second goal was especially bad.

So by your standard, last November the Panthers were a dominant team despite countless losses in the final minute, or allowing the game to go to overtime when the game was again botched?

Good teams play all 60 minutes, if you don't agree with that, or think that somehow the third period is less important than the first two, I have nothing left to say.

Of course the final period and final minutes are just as important as the first two periods. But you think its not possible to dominate a game and lose? If you do, I have nothing left to say.
