December 7, 200619 yr Went on Everest at Animal Kingdom for the first time on Sunday. I was fortunate enough to be in the first row. The part where the track runs out was really cool. The other highlight was where you hurtle down towards the Yeti and it looks like his arm is gonna swipe your head off. Anyone been on this coaster yet? Slightly off-topic but I went to Mickeys Very Merry Christmas too on Monday nite. I HIGHLY recommend going to this for one reason: NO LINES. I went on Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Pirates and Space Mountain and never once waited online. They sell a limited number of tickets to this event (about $40 a piece). It runs from 7:00 PM to Midnight.
December 7, 200619 yr I got to ride Everest twice on its official opening day in April. An absolute blast; 15 out of 10. That drop when you come out of the mountain and into the helix is awesome. It's now my favorite mountain in the Disney range. Everest, then Splash, and Big Thunder. Can't judge Space Mountain yet, since in all the times I've been to WDW I've never been on Space Mountain.

That is shocking. You seem to know more about WDW than anyone else I know. I'll get my chance to ride Everest a lot from Jan - May.
December 7, 200619 yr I'm planning out my next trip up to the World; one week on early April. Maybe this time I'll finally check out Space Mountain. I never rode the Rock N' Roller Coaster either until my trip last year. That launch is un-freakin-real.
December 7, 200619 yr I found Everest to be less than the hype would have me guess...but still enjoyable. Unfortunately the rest of AK is pretty boring, especially when it's raining!

December 7, 200619 yr I went on Everest last Spring/Summer. Since I had no idea where the train was going I got so dizzy. I might go on it again because I know what to expect now.
December 8, 200619 yr Author Its relatively tame in terms of twists and turns. There are quite a few other coasters that I can think of that have more potential to cause injuries. Space Mountain is much harder on the neck and back. Everests' strong points are the surroundings and Yeti factor.
December 9, 200619 yr Unfortunately the only coherent memories I have of Disney World all involve someone who is now a part of my past.
December 12, 200619 yr I found Everest to be less than the hype would have me guess...but still enjoyable. Unfortunately the rest of AK is pretty boring, especially when it's raining! Yeah, this about sums it up for me too, I'd say 7 out of 10. It was good, don't get me wrong, but not as great as I expected.
