Posted December 18, 200618 yr No details yet, but the Tigers have extended Jeremy Bonderman's contract through 2010. Awesome stuff. Bonderman, Miller, Verlander & Zoom are going to be around for quite some time...nice. And that isn't including some other pretty good pitching prospects in the Tigers system that could make a future impact.
December 18, 200618 yr 4 years, $38 million. Not bad at all. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-t...p&type=lgns Breakdown: 2007: $4.5 million, 2008: $8.5 million, 2009 & 2010: $12.5 million If Jeremy stays healthy, he's still a relative bargain at the end of the contract, considering some of the other heavily backloaded contracts we've seen signed this offseason.
December 18, 200618 yr Ain't exactly a bargain for a guy who's never had an ERA below four and has only thrown 200+ innings once. Still, good signing, buying out arbitration for less than $10 million prorated is smart if you have the cash.
December 18, 200618 yr anyway we can relate that to a dtrain contract? Or just too totally different of a pitcher?
