He has yielded one hit and one walk in 2 2/3 scoreless innings after going 1-1 with a 4.10 ERA in 19 regular-season games for Pastora de los Llanos. SS Emilio Ontiveros -- The 22-year-old completed the season with a .269 average, seven runs scored and an RBI in 14 games with Pastora de los Llanos. RHP Jesus Silva -- The 23-year-old right-hander went 3-4 with a 4.03 ERA in 15 games (14 starts) for the Pastora de los Llanos, who did not qualify for the playoffs. Opponents batted .253 against him. LHP Joe Horgan -- The veteran southpaw appeared in six games after joining the Pastora in mid-December. He did not receive a decision and allowed one hit and three walks, while striking out five over 4 1/3 scoreless innings. Horgan held opponents to a .071 batting average. 3B Jesus Rojas -- Rojas, who joined the Pastora de los Llanos in late December, went 0-for-4 with a walk in three games. CF Alex Sanchez -- After being one of the hottest hitters in Venezuela, the 30-year-old ended the season in a mini-slide, going 2-for-17 over his final four games. Sanchez batted .350 with three home runs, 22 RBIs, 22 runs scored and four stolen bases in 35 games with the Tiburones de La Guaira, who didn't qualify for the playoffs. LHP Renyel Pinto -- The 24-year-old left-hander won two of his final three starts for the Caribes de Oriente. He went 2-1 with a 3.00 ERA in six games (four starts), limiting opponents to a .221 batting average. The Caribes did not make the playoffs. RHP Harvey Garcia -- Garcia, who joined the Leones in late December, went 0-1 with a 15.43 ERA in three games. He hasn't appeared in the postseason for Escogido. 3B Miguel Cabrera -- The Major League All-Star is batting .261 (6-for-23) with six RBIs and two runs scored in six playoff games, helping the Tigres de Aragua to a 4-2 record. Cabrera, who was added to the Tigres' roster in late December, hit .375 with one homer, four runs scored and three RBIs in five regular-season contests. Dominican Winter League INF Agustin Septimo -- The 22-year-old went 1-for-3 with a walk in his only playoff appearance for the Gigantes del Cibao. He ended the season batting .216 (8-for-37) with one home run, nine runs scored, six RBIs and three stolen bases in 23 games. INF Jose Campusano -- The 23-year-old infielder is off to a hot start for the Gigantes in the playoffs. He is 4-for-6 with three runs scored, one RBI and two stolen bases in three games. In the regular season, Campusano batted .294 with 11 runs scored, two RBIs and seven stolen bases in 23 games. CF Alejandro De Aza -- The 22-year-old hit .238 with one home run, seven runs scored, four RBIs and one stolen base in 17 regular-season contests with the Estrellas de Oriente, who did not make the playoffs. LHP Henry Owens -- The 27-year-old reliever did not appear in a game after Nov. 17 with the Tigres del Licey. He finished the season 1-0 with a 0.79 ERA in 10 games and led the league with nine saves. RHP Eddy Rodriguez -- Rodriguez posted a 6.75 ERA in eight regular-season games with the Tigres. Opponents hit .387 against the 25-year-old right-hander. Mexican Pacific League LHP Arturo Barradas -- The 19-year-old appeared made just one regular-season appearance for the Tomateros de Culiacan, allowing a hit to the only batter he faced. Barradas is not on the Tomateros' playoff roster. RHP Wes Wilkerson -- The veteran reliever has made four playoff appearances for the Mayos de Navojoa, going 1-1 with a 2.08 ERA over 4 1/3 innings. The Nashville native has allowed two hits and four walks, while striking out one. Wilkerson pitched in two regular-season games without earning a decision. Amezaga thriving in Mexican League Utilityman hitting .296 with one homer through six games By Chip Haunss / Special to MLB.com Infielder Alfredo Amezaga continued his fine stint with the Yaquis de Obregon in the Mexican Pacific League playoffs. The 28-year-old utilityman is batting .296 (8-for-27) with one home run, four RBIs and three runs scored in six games for the Yaquis, who are 3-3 in the playoffs. Amezaga, who was signed by the Marlins in November 2005, completed the regular [Mexican League] season with a .297 batting average, three homers, 24 runs scored, 15 RBIs and 14 stolen bases in 39 games.
