March 7, 200719 yr Just wondering Ramp, do you judge the order by who is having the best performance in spring, who you would have start, or who you think Freddi would have start if the season started today?
March 7, 200719 yr Author Just wondering Ramp, do you judge the order by who is having the best performance in spring, who you would have start, or who you think Freddi would have start if the season started today? pretty much by the performance in ST so far.... and then I take that from the original list I made and just move them up or down as I see fit as for what Fredi's thinking.... I have no clue lol
March 7, 200719 yr I think I'll be okay with anyone in your top 4 right now. I am really interested to see what De Aza is going to do these next few weeks. If I had to bet now, Fredi will start Borchard or Sanchez. I don't think he will be too into taking many gambles with guys like Abercrombie or De Aza, but if they keep producing into the season, things could continue to get interesting.

I'm interested in this De Aza kid too. I wonder if Reggie is having another ST like last year and then will fumble the ball when the season opens again. We had a LFer do that a few years back. Great in ST but stunk it up in the regular season. Hit into alot of DPs. Name for some reason escapes me. Think we traded him to KC and then he ended up in Seattle's orginazation. Nunez maybe??

Abe Nunez. He also didnt get a legit chance to prove himself (if I recall) Bingo. That's the name. Have no idea why I can never come up with his name when I want to. And friends had a nickname for him too. Dishonest Abe. You would think it would be easy for me to remember. LOL Alot of folks were saying he didn't get a legit shot. Problem was, when they started him in consecutive games to showcase him he was consistently hitting into DPs. Then was traded to KC where he was pretty much an everyday player, and proceded to show he wasn't MLB quality. Think he went to Seattle and last I heard was in their minor league system. But that guy could play some ST baseball for us. Reed is really surprising me. And apparently everyone else. May have to rethink my stance on him. But I think it was more than his performance last year that swayed me. I didn't like him wearing that number. Wanted to put a "1/2" or something after it. LOL Last year at the ST Opening Day I first saw him from the front and wondered why the skinny little bat boy was wearing Castillo's number. I'm over that now.
