(AP) -The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired right-hander Yusmeiro Petit from the Florida Marlins for right-hander Jorge Julio and cash on Monday. The 22-year-old Petit made his big league debut last year with Florida, going 1-1 with a 9.57 ERA in 15 games. He's been a starter throughout his minor league career. The 28-year-old Julio went 2-4 with a 4.23 ERA in 62 appearances with the Diamondbacks and New York Mets last year. March 26, 200718 yr I like it. I've already given my reasons plenty of times, but Julio is the kind of guy that the Marlins and Joe Robbie stadium make into a 40 save type closer. :thumbup
March 26, 200718 yr terrible trade.....we already have a straight fastball guy in Felix Rodriguez..... felix hasnt impresssed me none. But owens and lindstrom and mess have done a nice job-but again it is ST and Julio has been doing it the the ML level last year.

March 26, 200718 yr Author Makes our bullpen super deep now. I think I can feel comfortable now when a starter only goes 6. Petit hasn't shown he can be very good at this level yet, and we are incredibly deep at starter. Love this trade.
