Posted March 28, 200718 yr Signing on to play Nicolas Cage's mother, Emily Gates, is recent Oscar-winner Helen Mirren. She's there to help link Cage's Ben Gates to his family's connection to John Wilkes Booth and the mysterious Knights of the Gold Circle. Now we have our protagonists in Cage and Mirren but a movie is only as strong as its bad guy and Disney has managed to cast one of the best "bad guy" actors around: four time Oscar nominee Ed Harris. Harris will star as Jeb Wilkinson, who has some information about Gates' father and aligns himself as an ally, but...well, you can guess where it goes from here. Talk about some pretty impressive additions to the cast!... Returning to star in SECRETS from the first film are Diane Kruger, Justin Bartha and Harvey Keitel. Disney has BOOK OF SECRETS scheduled for release on December 17th of this year. Source I actually really enjoyed the first one for what it was, and this cast is really shaping up to be very good.
March 28, 200718 yr Sweet Ed Harris...love that guy The first was ok I guess. Entertaining for one viewing I guess. Probably not something I'd ever watch again though.
March 28, 200718 yr Author I've never seen the first one, always wanted to. Harris is great though. You should watch it since you like history. Its a pretty good concept for a movie.
March 28, 200718 yr cool, I just was staring at a $100 bill the other day thinking they should make another one
March 28, 200718 yr That's not what I usually think of when I'm staring at a $100 bill (which I admit I rarely get to see); normally I'm happy to see Ben in my wallet. I remember the $100 bill being a pivotal clue in the first movie though. The actual title is National Treasure: Book of Secrets according to IMDb.
March 29, 200718 yr Diane Kruger was amazing looking in the original. It was an ok movie, I guess, but man. Diane Kruger.
March 29, 200718 yr Diane Kruger was amazing looking in the original. It was an ok movie, I guess, but man. Diane Kruger. She looked good in Troy too. I actually didn't think she looked all that good in Troy. Maybe it's because she was supposed to be "Teh hawtest woman in the whole universe" and it was more like "Really attractive blonde chick".
March 29, 200718 yr I was just watching National Treasure tonight. I first saw it in the movie theater and I liked it very much. I hope the sequel is good too.

QFT. Literally the words out of my mouth.
