Showcase for what though? He's seriously seriously raw and I don't think many will say he's destined for greatness.

Otherwise this move just makes no sense to me since, like you outlined before, there are alot of players who can be thrown in their for a spot start or two who aren't 22-year-old prospects with some upside that have never pitched above A ball. *Edit: Sorry, 21-year-old prospect. Still a little over a month till he turns 22.
