May 14, 200719 yr HOT *LF Josh Willingham...289/373/578 = 950 -add in the walkoff shot and he's been our best player this month *2B Dan Uggla...289/396/533 = 930 -Getting on base and hitting for power to start the month after a poor April/March. He'll hold onto the #2 slot for awhile. Absolutely vital to our success as we have no other decent options at 2B. *C Miguel Olivo...324/342/486 = 829 -not exactly scorching, but this is a nice turnaround for a guy who's taken a lot of lumps this year from posters and baseballs. Dropped balls continue to be a problem NOT *3B Miguel Cabrera...238/385/333 = 718 -Alarming defensive miscues and lukewarm batting line is a major contributor to the the overall team play this month. I think his injured oblique has caused more harm than he let's on. *SS Hanley Ramirez...269/321/365 = 687 -Florida's firestarter has, in conjunction with Cabrera, reigned in the hot offensive start. *1B Mike Jacobs...200/231/320 = 551 -He's been playing hurt...plain and simple. Expect a much needed DL stint. *CF/UTIL Alfredo Amezega 094/143/094 = 237 -Being stretch again as an everyday player...cant be replaced soon enough. *RF Joe Borchard 140/159/279 = 438 -After a palatable start as Hermida's fill-in, Borchard has hit rock bottom. Hermida is back and Borchard can go back to being a decent reserve. PROGNOSIS: Hanley and Cabrera need to hit or we're sunk.
