Anyone notice what our AAA catcher John Baker is doing?

Have I mentioned before I am getting sick of Olivo K'ing on pitches that are outside of the universe. Give Bakey a try.... he cant do any worse than Olivo (I hope).

I agree with the dame.

It's not that he just strikes out, he looks absolutely lost. Little leaguer lost. He has no ability to go out of the strikezone for a pitch and guesses way to much, and guesses wrong for that matter. Olivo goes into each at bat like he is going to get nothing but fastballs and looks retarded on outside sliders.

We need an upgrade ASAP. Or let Matty start getting some more time. At least he fundamentally is a better hitter.

Feelings: Even high-paid professional athletes have a sensitive side. Case in point, Miguel Olivo. The Marlins catcher was watching the clubhouse television when ESPN Baseball Tonight's "That's Nasty" segment showed him swinging and missing at a Hudson slider Monday night. After a few jokes by teammates at his expense, Olivo chimed in. "Why they gotta show me?" he said. "That's terrible."

Hopefully the FO will start noticing.
