July 9, 200719 yr Story and video I thought it was pretty awesome what they did. The ENTIRE team came out of the dugout to help out. They didn't have to and it wasn't there job, but they did it anyway. It's little stuff like this that brings a smile to my face. Awesome job Phils!
July 9, 200719 yr Wow and the Rockies didn't even come out? It was a mix of people. The article goes on to mention umpires and Rockies' LaTroy Hawkins and Ryan Spilborghs, who all helped as well. I assume most personnel had already headed for the clubhouse.
July 9, 200719 yr Pulling a tarp is the biggest pain in the ass ever, especially when the rain is really coming down. It was one of the downsides of my internship in Sarasota. Big Ups to the Phillies; never thought I'd say those words.
July 9, 200719 yr That was gold, it was hilarious seeing the grounds crew get owned by the wind (it actually looked like a lot of fun) and dap to the Phillies for going blue-collar. That's what Philly is supposed to be all about.

July 9, 200719 yr Quite admirable/awesome job by the Phillies helping out the Coors Field grounds crew, but as Festa has said, they are still a bunch of a**holes who should lose every game from here on out.
