So here it is.... Wells vs Penny... Game 1

Featured Replies

My prediction is there will be a lot of runs scored in Game 1, unless Penny surprises me, which is quite possible.

Wells vs. Penny

Interesting.

Fish win 14-13 in 10.

Actually I think completely opposite of you.

Wells has actually been the best pitcher for us so far this postseason, and Brad Penny isn't just going to lay down to the Yankees either.

Marlins win Game 1 -- 4-3

Wells is solid in Yankee Stadium and even more solid in October [12-2 in post season and 2-0 in WS]...

Assuming the Marlins don't run at will on him, Wells should improve to 3-0.

I didnt like giving the ball to Penny in game 1, I felt Pavano would be better. But it is clear what McKeon is doing here - he is resting his pitchers. That said, I think Penny has a big game in him, he is certainly a better pitcher than he has shown - should he choose to pitch and not throw. Wells has been the Yanks best this postseason. Good matchup, both pitchers have big guts, and fiery attitudes...

interesting matchup...they both remind me of each other but its gonna come down to one important factor ...they gotta lose some weight, both of 'em !!!!

the batle of 'da big men'
