Just look at what Juan did today. Leads off with a double, then in a situation the 2nd baseman would normally not be so close to second except to keep Pierre's speed in check, Cabs hits one through the hole for an RBI. If they weren't worried about him, that's the third out.

I was shocked to see Bernie Williams shaded so far to left-center on that "double". And we were just lucky that my least favorite MLB player Karim Garcia misplayed the ball or it would've been caught.

Also, it was pathetic for Soriano to be shading 2B to keep JP on. Cabs has learned so much from Pudge about going with the pitch to RF that the Yankees could not have been surprised by that hit. And Pierre scored without a throw to the plate anyway!

I thought the stat they've thrown out several times now is interesting. I think they said that Pierre has swung the bat 1115 times this year and only missed 67 times. It's like Pierre lives in a different world from the rest of the Marlins. He's the only lefty in the lineup and actually makes contact with the ball when he swings. The rest of the lineup is righties + Castillo who all swing through almost everything. I wonder who the hitting coach has more influence on. Yes, Cabrera and Pudge are the exceptions.
