October 10, 200718 yr Maybe I'm in the minority, but I think baseball managers are extremely overrated, and unlike the other 'big two' sports, the job description is more "don't screw u[" than actual strategy. To me, Torre is as good as the next and it doesn't really matter if they fire him or who they bring in, as long as the new guy doesn't do some ridiculous stuff.
October 10, 200718 yr Joe Torre wont take a job managing again, especially in the NL, because he is an awful in game manager. He has proved that pretty consistently from his days in the NL up to the times of interleauge play in NL parks under NL rules. He was nothing until he got to NYC, and that is a product of how the Yankees are run and actual in game managing in the AL is limited. One of the most overrated managers of all time, if not THE most overrated of all time.
October 10, 200718 yr The job is Girardi's, and I don't think there's any question about it. Tell that to Donny Baseball. Oh and Ramp do you have some inside knowledge that Girardi is a douchebag? If so please share it. I could be wrong but isnt it very possible that Loria and Samson are douchebag's and so therefore it could be quite easy to have rifts? Yea, Girardi is a douchebag. He brushes people the wrong way. I don't have to name names (mostly because no one will know who I am talking about), but this is nothing personal I have against him. And supposedly he and George aren't getting along (this might be old news, so excuse me on that).
