i am shocked. i would have thought he would have stuck around for one more year, because i truly saw bobby, smoltz, and glavine all retiring together marking the end of the era. something must have happened.

looks like js is staying on the braves as team president. frank wern, his assistant will take over the gm job. still not going to be the same though. have to wait until the 3:30 press conference to make it official.

With everything that's taken place in front offices since the end of the season, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, St Louis and now Atlanta, it becomes immediately obvious why the Marlins opted to sign their front office quartet longterm and for more $$$.

doubt it, frank wern is the new gm, even though bobby was the braves gm for a few years in the late 80's.
