I hope the Red Sox tell him they wouldn't sign him if he wanted to play there for free just so he ends up somewhere were he will never win a title and be miserable....
November 5, 200718 yr A-Rod's wife is from Boston and I hope you all haven't forgotten how much he wanted to go to Boston before the deal fell through years back. Plus, this is probably a lot of Boras' smoke blowing to get the Yankees to react and for the team with the 2nd highest payroll to get in to things. I'd love his production but I don't think he is worth a potential absurd contract and I'd rather acquire Adam Dunn and move Youk to first if we don't retain Lowell.
