NFL Week 17 Discussion

Hope everybody had a happy holiday.

The pursuit for perfection hits a turning point at Giants Stadium on Saturday Night as the Pats seek to become the third team ever to finish a regular season with no losses and no ties.

The final pushes for the playoffs are on. Tennessee and Washington are the ones that control their own destiny.

But the Redskins have to host Dallas. And the Titans have to go to Indy for the last regular-season game in the ol' Hoosier Dome on Sunday Night.

The 'Skins can still get in if they lose, but Minnesota and New Orleans would have to lose also. For the Titans, it's do or die. Die, and it's Cleveland, win or lose.

Jacksonville and Tampa Bay don't have to worry about the playoffs. The Jags will cut their fangs in Houston, and the Bucs will sharpen their swords at home against Carolina.

(Can Tampa Bay get the #3 seed if they win and Seattle loses? Nope. Thanks for the help, guys.)

The Dolphins don't have to worry about the playoffs either. Or locking up the #1 draft pick for that matter. They take on the Bengals in a game with no other meaning than to try and avoid becoming the first one-win team since the '01 Carolina Panthers.
