Does anyone else do this? If so, what program do you use to convert the file? If you do do this, maybe share files to lessen work for others?

Yeah, downloaded the program and tried to download two videos from Youtube and neither worked.

I have more than 50 DVD's on my 180gb video iPod.

 

I use Nero Recode, it's very simple. Put the DVD in, choose the "portable" profile in Nero Recode, moviename.mp4 appears on your desktop, put that file on your iPod via iTunes.

I dont have a DVD-drive....how can i get youtube videos onto my ipod

Use those to download the youtube clip... If you have your own video converter to make them mp4s...
