Need help trying to think of something

Featured Replies

This is an old Nickelodeon show -- and I mean old. It was on during the era of the Sharon, Lois and Bram Elephant Show.

All I can remember is this guy who has a guitar, and the beginning of each show, he walks through a field, into the woods, and I think he comes out of a log and sits down and starts telling stories.

only shows around that time I can think of are You Can't do that, Dont just sit there, hey dude and roundhouse. Not sure if it is any of them.

I was a big Nickelodeon watcher in the 1980s (I mean, I grew up on it, back before the gak logo and the game shows, we're talking Pinwheel and Today's Special), and I honestly cannot pinpoint that. The only show I can think of involving woods and fields is David the Gnome, and I don't recall that cartoon involving any guitars.

Though I think somebody has a guitar in Pinwheel, but its beginning is vastly different from what you describe, and I think it was cancelled long before the Elephant Show.

EDIT: Looking through the Wikipedia article: Does Are You Afraid of the Dark? ring a bell? Nah, couldn't be, that's just silly.

I honestly don't know. Must have been a show I didn't watch.

Wasn't that Fred Penner's place?

You know, that may be really what he's looking for. Raffi was more about singing, and still is, only without the show.

But again, a show I didn't watch. I didn't even know it was on Nick until I saw it on the Wikipedia article here. :mischief It's a comprehensive list of every show Nick has ever aired. It's fairly accurate, though some run lengths are limited to actual production instead of when they were actually on; for example, I know for a fact that Hey Dude and Salute Your Shorts aired long past 1992.

Oh oh oh, that's the one.

Thank you so much. MAN what a blast from the past.

Seriously. That was sooo so old.

I wish that Nickelodeon had a channel playing old shows like "Salute Your Shorts". Actually, the Nickelodeon hotel in Orlando has a channel like that. I caught it when they were showing "Double Dare" the one time I stayed there.
