Product Key Question

Featured Replies

So im trying to retype my resume here on Microsoft Word and i have a Windows Vista computer...it says i need to enter my product key...and everytime i do...it tells me "The Key is Incorrect. Verify that you have the correct key, and then retype it."...and ive done that a million times and its still not working...can anyone please help?!?!?

I'm thinking Microsoft Word doesn't recognize Vista as your operating system or vise versa.

Have you looked on the microsoft.com page for any kind of troubleshooting? Perhaps there's an update patch that could help you.

yeah i looked on their troubleshooting and didnt really see anything that could help me...i mean im usually pretty computer proficient...but this has me stumped

Anyone have access to your Product keys.

Microsoft and other companies have a history of locking out cdkeys once their limited number of uses have been exhausted.

Someone might have posted your key online, or might have used a cd key generator and yours was randomly generated.

Post it online, and Viola- your out some money.

Call microsoft and have them verify yours is yours and give you a new one, disabling the old one.

Alright, I've done this once -- make sure you're not confusing the number one with lowercase "l" and also that you're keeping your o's and 0's straight.

If it's a little sticker label, it's easy to confuse 8 and B as well.
