March 17, 200818 yr As you may or may not know, the fifth largest tennis tournament in the world behind Wimbledon and the U.S., French, and Australian Opens, the Sony Ericsson Open (formerly The Lipton, Ericsson, Nasdaq-100 Open), occurs on Key Biscayne every March. I work there, so if anyone is interested, I can get you two free tickets to any one of the following sessions: Wednesday, March 26 night session (FishFan89) Thursday, March 27 day session (METSrosexual) Sunday, March 30 night session (PitchingWinsGames) Monday, March 31 night session (JetsMania) Wednesday, April 2 day session (furcalchick) (Day sessions start at 11 AM, gates open at 10; night sessions start at 7 PM for stadium court, gates open at 5 for access to outer courts) The tickets give you a specified chairback seat in the upper deck of the 14,000-seat stadium and access to any match on any of the other 10 courts. The tickets normally run about $20-$30 each (no, Im not allowed to accept money for them and selling them is against the law), so I hate to see them go to waste. Please only ask for tickets if you intend to use them. If you are interested, send me a message and I'll get them out to you right away. First come, first served. If you want more information about the tournament, go to http://www.sonyericssonopen.com

March 28, 200818 yr Went yesterday and had an AWESOME time. No real important matches, so we went hunting down the good players on the practice courts. Saw a bit of the Marat Safin - Bobby Reynolds match at the stadium. We were literally inches away from everyone: Novak Djokovic, Serena, Andy Roddick, Willy Canas, Lleyton Hewitt, Chucho Acasuso, Ana Ivanovic, Jelena Jankovic, David Ferrer, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Tommy Robredo, Feliciano Lopez, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Richard Gasquet, Gael Monfils, Carlos Moya, Janko Tipsarevic, Svetlana Kuzntesova, Mikhail Youhzny, Marat Safin, and I cant remember who else. But still, damn, I think I did pretty well!!

March 28, 200818 yr Looks like you had fun. I used to go to tons of tennis matches, and we were all yelling, and the referee kept telling us to be quiet. Never quite understood why

March 28, 200818 yr Well, I don't know who you like or don't like, but I see 5 on that list that I would love to get autographs/pics with, and another one not on the list that I'm hoping is still there when I go
March 30, 200818 yr Here's just a few pics that I took on Thursday, theres a ton, but these are the ones I just uploaded. David Ferrer Serena Williams Jo-Wilfried Tsonga Ana Ivanovic Guillermo Canas Me acting a fool on one of the practice courts
March 31, 200818 yr Nice pics I just got back, none of mine are really that good, I mean, they're good, but you were obviously a lot closer than I was most of the time When I got there, the only matches available were Kuerten/Lapentti vs Lopez/Verdasco (which was a very loud match, great fans) , Dementieva vs Cibulkova (best seats, so I spent the most time there), Serena was in the grandstand, but I didn't head over there and Nadal/Kiefer and Canas/Gonzalez in the stadium, where I caught about half of each. I really wanted to see Ivanovic, Vesnina, and James Blake today, but otherwise I had a great time. :thumbup Thanks again RossInfoMan
March 31, 200818 yr Wow, would have loved to see the Canas - Gonzo match. I'm heading back over there tonight. Heres a couple more pics from last Thursday: Jelena Jankovic Fernando Gonzalez Donald Young Lleyton Hewitt Jose Acasuso Amelie Mauresmo Carlos Moya
March 31, 200818 yr Wow, Lleyton Hewitt... no lie, the dude's my favorite player, dang I would have liked to have seen him
April 1, 200818 yr Wow, Lleyton Hewitt... no lie, the dude's my favorite player, dang I would have liked to have seen him Acasuso knocked him out a couple of days ago. Cool thing about Hewitt is that he and Argentines have a mutual hate for each other, yet I found him on the practice courts with Willy Canas. Looks like Lleyton is trying to turn his image around and look like a good guy. Ive always liked him as a player, and when I saw that, I was impressed.

One of the few players Ive ever seen to leave it all on the court. He plays so hard and is a great sport.
