They're literally 20 or so minutes away from me, so once I get started at the local community college here, I'll take journalism classes and contact them then, otherwise, this awesome program is wasted on me because it's too far away to justify it... oh, and Im not in high school anymore :confused
Puma
This sounds like something I'd really be interested in. Too bad it's on such short notice. If I'd known about it a week ago I probably would have found a way to go. :banghead

So... If they have it again next year I'll probably go since I'll be in my freshman year of college.

Sorry...I got this from my school counselor, and the letter said "high school students" as was posted. Again, if it's wrong, I apologize for that. miami-sports-geek
Yeah, it's also for college kids. I came down yesterday from UF to attend this thing. My ticket reads "Infield Box", so I'd say they're pretty good seats. ^_^
Puma
I ended up going to this event. Got some useful insight.
Erick
So did I. The people from USF and BCC were really nice to me, btw. Bad thing is, I couldn't go the game. I thought the event in general was $40, but thing is, each ticket was $40, and my dad didn't have that type of money to give them $80, just like that. I tried to sell the ticket at the barber shop afterwards, but couldn't sell it, so I didn't attend the game, so that part sucked. However, it was good, and useful. Got some information on schools, and the business aspect of sports.
miami-sports-geek
I thought David Samson was brutal, but hilarious. He's like the dad from 'Honey, I Shrunk the Kids', without the modest nature. Not the most humble businessman, but I sure respect him more today than I did yesterday. :lol

Puma
If anyone rememembers when the guy Jeff Yokom from game face asked what the Big 4 was, i was the one that answered, was sitting on the far left

Nah, I didn't ask him any questions. I asked Michael Hill: Aside from scouting, what other entry-level positions are the best for breaking into baseball operations? CTMarlinsfan
I'm in CT so I couldn't go, but if they move this event to say June, I think it would be wise... I am going to go to the winter meetings to job hunt in the minors in December probably (VEGAS BABY!!!) Also, one of my good friends for the end of his senior year of high school had to get a 2 week internship...(some Philly thing). He got the chance to work in the boradcast booth with the Phillies. One day he got called to work in the clubhouse and he's been a video scout ever since...you never know where one opportunity can lead you, so try to take advantage of the seminar this past weekend.
