The Marlin Man
hmmm, dunno if I'd call 7 walks "shinning"....this is prob one of volstad's worse performances this year. I'm surprised he only gave up 2 runs....must have been a lot of GIDPs.
The Marlin Man
Just checked the box. There were no GIDPs, surprisingly enough....but Vostad didn't give up any extra base hits, keeping the run total down. Also of note is that he didn't give up the 2 runs until 8th. He did a lot of bending but not much breaking all game.

Listened to some of the archived game on MiLB the first run in the 8th scored on a broken bat bloop single and the second run was inherited. 2 of the walks were intentional . only 3 k's since batters were hitting groundball outs early in counts should have come out of the game after 7 inn giving up 5 walks and only 2 hits and 0 runs by then since he was having control problems

Erick
Anyone else find it ironic, that Joe Nelson's innings are being extended? 3.2 innings...possible callup?
