June 20, 200818 yr Dallas got his first RBI as a professional. This is his first year of batting since signing out of high school. I havent talked to him today but from listening to the broadcast it sounded like Dallas was effectively wild. He hit two batters, walked three but only gave up four hits, three of which were to the first three batters of the game. Dallas settled down and retired 10 in a row at one point. He started the 6th by walking the leadoff batter and getting behind the 3 hole (2nd batter of the inning) and gave up the 2 run HR. On a side note his former roommate at AA Erie is in the big for Detroit and is 1-0.
June 21, 200818 yr Stanton and Dominguez are f***ing sick. I want to fast forward three years. No doubt. Stanton is on absolute fire right now, leading the entire South Atlantic league in HR, Slugging and is number 3 (only behind two older guys, non prospects) in OPS. Might be one of the hottest prospects in baseball right now, should be making some top 25 lists next year IMO.
June 21, 200818 yr BTW: Just to add to the Stanton thing..I've heard some people say he will end up at first base due to immense size, but I say no way. The kid was offered a scholarship to play football at Southern Cal as a WR! That should tell you something about how athletic he is, you don't waste that at first base. Hell, he has even played some CF.

Hell, he has even played some CF. Theres no doubt he's athletic, I've been trying to brush off the comments made about him filling out to the point wheres he's at first base too. But he is a very big man, and if he get's anything close to "Cabrerafied", he might have to.
