It's fake.

In fantasyland, the Triple-A Fresno Grizzlies are grooming the Giants' greatest ball dudette ever.

Gatorade fooled many Internet viewers with a viral video of a ball girl scaling the wall in the left-field corner - a step with her left foot, a step with her right, and a leap to 12 feet off the ground - to snag a long foul. It seemed obviously manipulated to us, but not so to everyone. The video ("ballgirl" on YouTube) caused such a stir that it will be on ABC's "Good Morning America" today.

The ad's creators told the Web site Shoot Online they filmed the commercial during and after a Grizzlies home game against the Tacoma Rainiers. The play-by-play voice is Doug Greenwald, son of Hank.

The game footage is real. As for The Catch*, it was filmed after the game, with a stuntwoman named Phoenix Brown and a series of rope rigs that were later edited out of the picture. Yep, too

Good Morning, America was fooled, as was I.

I'm beginning to think everything is fake...

I don't get Gatorade with their dumb ass fake commercials. Wouldn't it be better to show something that's actually REAL?

Isn't the point of advertising to make you remember the product? This commercial has been talked about by everyone, including Good Morning, America. What more could Gatorade ask for??

I love Capitalism.

That's only because there are people who are stupid to believe it's real. I remember when they had that LeBron commercial of him hitting full court jumpers everyone questioned it. Are you kidding me? Same with Kobe jumping over that car. Stupid people actually thinking it's real.

Damn that Budweiser for showing talking frogs!!!! Don't they know that if they had a commercial with real NON talking frogs it would been a bigger success? Stupid Budweiser!

Wow, great comparison. You have no idea what I'm talking about but respond with a sarcastic comment anyway. Nice.
