Natural Born Loser - Kevin Gregg

I think we should keep Gregg on the team.

Agreed. There is nothing more fun than a wildcard in the bullpen. Will he completely implode? Will he be able to throw anything besides a fastball? Who's to say! That is what makes baseball great.

Ah, you must have read Matt Lindstrom.

I actually said Kevin Gregg.

I did misread that. If I thought you wrote Kevin Gregg I would've written about the certainty of an implosion and not being able to throw anything but fastballs.

:)

The only reason I want to keep Gregg is because of his absolute ownitude with inherited runners.

Which goes back to my original post back in July - stick him in middle relief. But not now. At this point he has lost all of his confidence or ability (I am not sure which) in throwing anything but fastballs and is a glorified BP pitcher. That being the case the Marlins need to either release him (which they probably won't do) or keep him seated firmly in the bullpen until September callups and then only give him chances to pitch in blowout games.

I think we should keep Gregg on the team.

I think it all depends, on the type of value we could get back for him.

Obviously.
