Fredi's anger

Featured Replies

If I were Fredi watching that 8th inning, Id probably have been arrested. I would have probably thrown clipboards everywhere... spat on Willingham and Hermida, and lightly graized Jacobs across the back of the head for doing exactly what they SHOULD have done with 1 and 0 outs. They had so many options... and then Dan Uggla... I dont know if it was the coach or Uggla who decided he should run... but WHY. There were ZERO outs... play it cool! You are the TIEING RUN(well not really, but the other guy isnt a tieing run unless you are STILL on base!). It would be different if we were down 1 or something... but down 2? Does it really matter where the "down-by-1" run is? NOO! Its clear that if we tie it up, everyone will get hits anyways, or we will hit a longball.

Now I know everyone has restated this over and over, but everyone deserves to vent.

We have no idea what Freddi told his players behind the scenes. I do not think that you will read that in any article. He may have laid into these guys a bit after this game. But either way these guys are all adults and I do not think that yelling and screaming at them is the way to motivate them anyhow.

For some reason I guess people feel as though managers give the media a front-row seat when they chew out players and that all of that should go in the papers as well, including who got yelled at by the manager, for how long, and what EXACTLY the manager said. Unless that stuff is in there, apparently, they don't believe anything gets done.
