October 31, 200322 yr Yeah, he's a bargain second baseball with a bit of lefthanded pop to add to our line-up. But he's not going to be a bargain. He made just under $4 million last year and just had a good year. His agent is going to be looking for atleast a $5 million deal. We probably could get Castillo for 7! Walker also has no speed and was often taken out in the late-innings for a defensive subsitute.
October 31, 200322 yr I find so many of you funny. You have a new projected Marlin every day. Hilarious.
October 31, 200322 yr Walker barely had pop at Fenway. How would he fair at Pro Player? Castillo also had a much higher average, OBP, and played awesome defense. And Luis won't be $7 Million after his slow season on the bases. He'll make somewhere around $5-6 Million. I'd much rather keep Luis than get Walker. If Castillo walks, fine. But you go after Luis first.
October 31, 200322 yr Todd Walker as a Marlin may have 6 HR total. He MIGHT hit ONE at PPS. He has no OBP, he has no significant speed, he sucks in the field, he is a downgrade in every category when compared to Luis. He will also draw a $6 mil deal from somebody. Luis might stay for something close to that.
