Moving to CA: Which Team Should I Root For?

Featured Replies

How do you just become a fan, of a team?

I think it takes much more than just living in a place.

For me, I love the Marlins because I live here...but also because I grew to love them, over time.

Now...I wouldn't think of rooting for a second team, regardless of whether or not I move. I think it'd be tough to do (choosing a 2nd team to root for).

I guess I'm just a "one-team" type of guy.

I could always hope to see teams do well... but I would never root for them. Take hockey for example... I love my Panthers more than anything... I hate pretty much everyone else... though I like to see some teams do well. Montreal(I hate Toronto fans) St. Louis(I like their jersey lol), and Edmonton(my family is from Edmonton). But I would never root for any of them, just good to see them doing good. Same applies to the Marlins... though I find it very hard in baseball specifically to even hope another team does well... having the limited playoff spots it would HAVE to be in the AL.

Plus I don't like Vin Scully.

How do you not like Vin Scully? The man is a legend

I definitely say go with the Giants, especially if you're best friends are Giant fans.

My friends agree with you. My son says Angels, so I can have an AL team to go for but I'm leaning towards the A's for my AL team. I guess I'll decide when I get out there. I'll keep everyone posted. I may not be able to root for anyone but the Marlins.
